Putting On The Ritz

Hello and welcome to another edition of Tips, Tricks and Reviews, Spring Edition!

There’s something about spring that makes me want to start fresh and make things new again. That is quite ironic since I’m a huge fan of vintage things but even vintage things can use some sprucing up sometimes.

Many of you have probably already heard of this stuff but I have become a huge fan of Rub ‘N Buff wax metallic finish.

It is the most beautiful way to give things that little extra elegance and pizzaz. It is so easy to use as a very little bit goes a very long way. It can be applied with your fingertip or a brush and buffs to a brilliant shine. I also love that it comes in a variety of metallic finishes. I’ve been using the antique gold but I just ordered some other finishes to try. I purchased mine off of Amazon but they can be found in local craft stores as well.

It adheres to just about anything and is so versatile. I have used it on Christmas ornaments, metal soap dishes and even jewelry.

My favorite way to use it most recently is to buff over some of my vintage ornate frames.

They still look vintage but with a little extra ba-zing to them. (Yes, that is a word…right?)

I’m pretty picky when it comes to paint finishes and this one gets a two thumbs up from me!

Wishing you a little ba-zing in your life!
