Linen and Twigs

Hello, welcome to my blog. I’m Diane…a wife to a very entertaining and handy man (aka:My Guy) , a mom to three incredibly charming and funny grown boys, a mom in law to the best daughter a girl could ask for, a grandma to my first grandson (aka: my little squish) and lover of all things “home”.

I love painting (some might call it an obsession), decorating, gardening and hunting for treasures. I love making new things out of old stuff and making new stuff look old. I love vintage, farmhouse, cottage style and humor which is key to living with all of these guys. I love a good rainy day, a hot cup of coffee and dancing when no one is looking but most of all I love God, my family and the life He has blessed me with.

When I’m not at home shuffling around furniture or painting a room (again) you might find me kicking around town looking for lost treasures to fill my booth, Linen and Twigs, at KnB’s Marketplace. It is an antique and consignment shop in our local downtown area. It is there that I gather refinished and refurbished finds to share with all of you. It is there that my love of collecting and diying has given me an outlet as not to become the next star of a hoarder show.

On this blog, I hope to inspire others to create a home that truly reflects who they are and what they love. I believe a person’s home should tell their story and those of whom they share it with.  I’ll share projects, tips and ideas most likely done on a budget because a beautiful home doesn’t have to break the bank. Most of all, I hope to make some new friends who share some of the same interests and also some who don’t therefore inspiring me as well.

Pull up a chair and grab a cup of coffee…we’ve got some catching up to do.
