Linen and Twigs

Hello Friends! Are you having that festive feeling yet? If not, you had better get busy. Christmas is right around the corner! Yikes!

Christmas tends to come at me fast. With having a shop to decorate for, the season starts quite early. A little too early for my liking but once I have that done, I like to take my time and enjoy the season.

I also like to decorate with neutral colors because I’m one of those crazy people who doesn’t like to take down the decorations right after Christmas and using colors that don’t scream Christmas allows me to stretch the season a bit longer.

The tree will come down right before the New Year but that’s only because it’s usually a fire hazard by then.

I like to keep the rest of the decorations up until a bit after the New Year.

I like to use a lot of greens and lights and the neutral colors transition nicely into the New Year. The metallic colors also add a bit of bling to my rustic farmhouse decor. I love that mix!

Well, that’s a little tour of our living room at Christmas time. I hope everyone is enjoying the season so far. There’s still so much to do before Christmas gets here but I’m trying to make “slowing down and enjoy every minute of it” a top priority.
