Red, White and Blue

Hey Friends! Let’s get it on…I’m talking about your red, white and blue of course!

Do you all decorate for the Fourth of July? I do and I love it! I’ll admit that I didn’t always care about decorating for the Fourth but the older (and wiser) I get, the more I realize just how blessed I am to live in the good ole U-S of A!

Now I know that some of you are probably thinking, “Don’t you listen to the news dingbat? You’re really proud of where we live?” And my answer is, “You bet!”

Now, I’m not a dinosaur nor am I a spring chicken but for as long as I can remember, there has always been conflict among the people of our country. That means that we are passionate about we believe. That’s a good thing. It means that we don’t give up easy. That’s another good thing.

If we would take the time to listen to our elderly, it would make us appreciate what we have now and realize just how far we have come. There are some wise old souls out there.

If we would listen to our young, we would learn what it’s like to grow up in a country that is no longer like it was “back in our day” and realize just how far we still have to go. Once we know better, we should do better. And just because we don’t “understand” something doesn’t necessarily make it wrong. If that were the case, my GPA would have been different…it’s not that I don’t understand this math, it’s just wrong! Haha

We should be proud and grateful. Grateful for the people who fought and still fight for us. Appreciative of the blessings around us even if sometimes they’re hard to see. Proud to be you and proud to be me.

Have a wonderful Fourth of July Friends. Fly those flags high and break out your red, white and blue!

Love you bunches!
