Tips, Tricks and Reviews ~ Christmas Edition

An Easy Trick to Hang Garland

Hello Friends! Have you decked your halls yet or are you waiting until after Thanksgiving? Usually I wait until after Thanksgiving but this year I got bit by the Christmas bug and have started decorating already. I’m kind of calling this my “winter decor” since I haven’t pulled out any red or Santa’s or snowmen. I have however been hanging lots of garland, lights and swags.

I thought this would be the perfect time to share a decorating tip with you. One question I get asked a lot is how I hang the swags without them falling.

I have one super easy and inexpensive trick that has worked for me for years…clothespins!

Simply find the center of your swag or garland that you are hanging over a mirror for example and clip the clothespin onto it.

There will be a longer side of the clothespin and a shorter side.

Tuck the longer side of the clothespin behind the mirror and fluff your swag.

You can bend the garland branches to hide the clothespin. See? You can’t even see the it!

Tada!!! You now have a secure way of hanging your swag! Mine has never fallen off in all my years of hanging them. Super easy and super inexpensive!

Do you have any tricks that are helpful with decking your halls? I would love to hear about them!

Happy decorating friends and thanks a million for stopping by!

Wonderful and simple! Love it! Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for giving me hope for my blog. I noticed you stopped blogging last June and recently picked it up again. I started my blog one year ago and had to let it go in late August and havent picked it back up again. Really kind of want to but thought it was too late. You have given me hope. Thanks!
